How Do I Access IDD Services?

Children 3 to 21 and adults over 21 with a diagnosis of an intellectual disability are eligible to be connected to services through the Lancaster County Office of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.

Services might include vocational training, respite care, employment, adaptive equipment, or residential services.

The first step in receiving services is to schedule an in-take with the IDD Supports Coordination Unit at 717-399-7355.

An intake involves a visit to the home by a supports coordinator who reviews the needs of the individual. The supports coordinator assists the individual and his family in obtaining the services that will meet the individual and family’s needs.
